2008 Northern California Cherry Blossom Court
In an effort to remain connected with the Japanese American community and to give insight to the general public of this cultural leadership program, the members of the 2008 Northern California Cherry Blossom Queen Court have launched this blog site. Queen Alicia Kagawa, First Princess Miwa Natsuki, Princess and Tomodachi Award Recipient Rie Watanabe, Princess Asuka Nagase and Princess Midori Iwata welcome you to share in our year-long cultural heritage experience of community service and leadership. We hope this site can adequately express our gratitude to the many memorable opportunities this program has given us. July 12, 2008: Buddhist Church of Sacramento OBON (odori)

Summer means Obon Season! We had a wonderful time dancing Odori at the Sacramento Obon, one of many local bazaars we visited in Northern California. Special thanks to Midori and family for hosting us at their home!
